In 2020, OHL NA won $1.3 billion in new contract awards and was ranked #15 on Engineering News-Record’s list of the Top 50 Domestic Heavy Contractors.We are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist in our College Point, NY location.Responsibilities* Administers various human resources plans and procedures for regional employees.* Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures; maintains handbook on policies and procedures.* Analyzes wages to determine compensation plan.* Updates job descriptions as necessary* Partners with Manager, Talent Acquisition on all recruiting activities; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; extends job offers.* Conducts new-employee on-boarding and orientation.* Monitor’s career-path program/Performance management system.* Termination processes and conducts exit interviews.* Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.* Assist in benefit administration, inquiries, open enrollment.* Handles immigration for your region such as filing, drafting, audit request, status updates, etc.* Assist with performance management and annual review process.* Assist with company facilitation of new initiatives such as tasks, changes, or trainings.* Counsel and train supervisors, provide guidance to managers, as necessary.* Investigate incidents was necessary and document issues.* Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.* Handle day to day tasks.Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related disciplines* Advanced computer skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required, experience working with Learning Management Systems preferred* Excellent oral and written communication skills and project management skills.* Ability and maturity to work with all levels of the organization* Demonstrates significant problem solving abilities and highly refined analytical skills* Works in a proactive manner and is a self-starter who approaches his/her work with a sense of urgency* Meets deadlines under pressure in short time frames* Can multi-task and thrive in an environment where numerous tasks and projects occur simultaneously, where change is the norm* Ability and self-confidence to present to and facilitate development and training sessions at all levels of the organizationOHL NA and its affiliates are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants are considered for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, or any other protected class.OHL USA, Inc. and its subsidiaries (“OHL”) shall not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate.
