American Fence Company and Palmshield invest a great deal of time and resources in our Fence Certification Program for our commercial sales people as they are critical to the success of our business. You will spend time in the field with our crews, classroom time learning the specifics of the fence industry, and experiential opportunities in quoting and managing projects.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote and effectively sell Palmshield products and services using established company sales techniques and procedures.
• Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Provide customer with product price quotations, details regarding accessories available, and additional details as appropriate.
• Clarify and fulfill customer requests/needs by presenting various selections of products and services providing pricing information as requested.
• Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
• Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Process all paperwork for orders, including project proposals, sales contracts, and related documentation. Maintain neat, professional filing systems for all documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years’ experience in construction estimating
• Highly proficient computer, mathematics, writing, time- management and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
