The primary role of the Planner/Scheduler is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipation and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and materials, tools and equipment, and specialized documentation and equipment.
The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all non-emergency maintenance work performed in the Facility. He/ She coordinates between the various maintenance groups, Supervisors and Managers. The Position will take the primary lead on the set-up, implementation and upkeep of the CMMS system. This position will also take the lead on the document writing and scheduling of the PM’s.
This position requires that the person have both technical Knowledge and good Human relation skills. The Planner/Scheduler is a key member of a cross functional team that supports the improvement of plant reliability and the move from reactive to proactive maintenance work. This is a highly skilled position within the maintenance team that requires prior experience with equipment, processes, and workflow.
