Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Manager, Human Resources Business Partner to lead our Ohio and Indiana region. This position may be located in Ohio or Indiana. The position will report to the Director, Human Resources.
The Manager, HRBP leads efforts related to positive employee relations and takes a proactive role in shaping a work environment that attracts and engages the workforce, thereby driving high company performance. They formulate and cultivate partnerships across the business and serve as an advisor and business partner to leadership to deliver value-added services to management and employees. They will be responsible to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate all human resource-related activities, including talent acquisition, talent management and employee engagement.
Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties
Oversee and manage the HR Business Partners supporting the assigned locations
Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies
Manage and resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
Lead employee engagement initiatives
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Provide day-to-day guidance to front line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
Develop and revise policies and procedures as needed
Provide guidance and input on respective locations reorganization, workforce planning, and succession planning
Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
5+ years of experience in Human Resources
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws including, but not limited to, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, FMLA and OSHA regulations
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
