Human Resources
This position is for the System Bid team which is part of the HR Operations group within HR. The primary responsibility for this team is to manage employee transfers within classifications per the collective bargaining agreement guidelines. This includes movement as part of the furlough and recall process in addition to voluntary employee transfers. This team spends time partnering with the field to ensure vacancies are filled in a timely manner, so the stations are staffed adequately.
Manages employee transfers for all hourly above and below the wing employees applying a working knowledge of seniority and filling of vacancies
Conducts analysis on seniority and pay related inquiries from Labor Relations, the Union and the field
Liaison with Resource Planning and Talent Acquisition on vacancies
Provides reporting and analysis on types of vacancies filled for specified time periods
Responds to employee inquiries via Help Hub
Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need
To be successful in this role, you will have a customer-service orientation and a passion for building partnerships and relationships. We’re looking for a team player who can be accountable and flexible with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a drive for process improvement. This role will specifically support our IBT (Technicians) represented employees.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources or similar field or equivalent work experience
Must be articulate, have strong oral and written communication skills, and a professional demeanor
Skills in exercising initiative, sound judgement, discretion, and decision making to achieve assigned goals
Extremely organized with strong prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities
Strong attention to detail, follow up, and organizational skills
Quick learner, with a positive attitude and ability to work well independently and within a team
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and trust
Empathic; genuinely cares about people and wants to help
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
Working knowledge of current IAM/IBT JCBA’s as it relates to seniority and filling of vacancies
Experience with Service Now (Help Hub)
Relevant industry experience
