Expanding California Winery Seeks Winery Communications Manager
Quady Winery is known locally and around the world as the home of the sweet wine specialists. Our business strategy is simple: to produce exciting wines in unique niches within the wine industry. We are Moscato experts and our two premium brands, Electra, and Salt of the Earth, are our best sellers nationwide. We are also proud makers of an entirely different type of wine: Vya, America’s premium domestic vermouth. We are inspired by unique old world wine styles, including port-style wines, dessert wines, and aperitif wines made with grapes grown in the San Joaquin Valley. Quady Winery is a multi-generation family business. We are looking for a natural storyteller who can assist us in communicating who we are, what we do, and why it matters to our fans as we evolve into a larger company due to sustained success primarily with our Moscato brands. At Quady Winery, we are proud of our diverse and talented team; their different backgrounds and unique perspectives bring strength and innovation to all that we do. We have a global, multicultural fanbase of the wines we produce and we strive to reflect that inside our walls.
Job Summary:
Quady winery is seeking a talented communicator to 1) tell our story and 2) develop effective point of sale. The Winery Communications Manager will work closely with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and the National Sales and Marketing Director. We are looking for a professional with solid writing chops who excels at storytelling, writing, and designing sales materials for the trade and for consumers. The Winery Communications Manager will be adept at articulating the unique history and impact of an expanding and successful family business. We are looking for a team player who looks for collaboration and feedback, is adept at juggling priorities from multiple people, and who has an open communication style. Much of our content is food and cocktail recipe related: if you enjoy experimenting and have a genuine interest in food, cocktail, and aperitif culture you would be at home with us. Experience in the wine industry is not required, but a curiosity and enjoyment of diverse wine styles, including Moscato and vermouth, and in the story of a growing multi-generational family winery in the San Joaquin Valley, is a must.
