Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Compensation: up to $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant will report into the Human Resources Manager and will provide administrative support to the Human Resources department in the areas of New Hire Onboarding, maintaining employee records and files, filing and document processing of various HR related events such as performance evaluations, HR safety and compliance documents, business card and name tag ordering.
Core Responsibilities
Distribute Welcome and Anniversary Cards; follow up with managers to retrieve cards, mail to employees, track distribution and retrieval of all Welcome and Anniversary Cards.
Follow up with hiring manger to collect all required new hire paperwork for employee files
Maintain SAMBASafety Driver Pull Notice Program for all employees driving on Company business
Order business cards, corporate name tags, corporate name plates and company suggested literature for appropriate new hires. Manage reorders of business cards and names tags.
Conduct portions of New Hire Orientation for Corporate new hires.
Assist managers in uploading performance reviews, audit ADP for completion of reviews, release reviews in ADP, file in EE files.
Distribute and manage parking cards for Corporate employees
Complete I-9 verifications daily, ensure I-9’s are completed in a timely manner, follow up with hiring managers, verify each I-9 and file, pull terminated I-9’s.
Create, organize, audit and maintain all hard copy employee personnel files and written records
Manage HR department filing
HR office reception for incoming calls and in person staff. To include answering routine questions regarding personnel policies and procedures, benefits and 401k
HRIS (ADP) data input and maintenance.
Maintain records of all completed company Safety Training
Update New Hire tracking spreadsheet on a daily basis
Assist with ordering of Labor Law posters for each property with employees on-site.
Assist in completing reference checks for candidates in the application process as needed.
Assist in reconciliation of UNUM and Colonial insurance billing
Keep current and knowledgeable on all Action HR policies, procedures, forms and documentation
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
1 year of clerical experience. Experience in Human Resources or legal background is highly desired.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources and/or HR Certification is highly desired
Must be accurate, efficient with attention to detail and demonstrate data integrity
Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong verbal and written communication.
Dependable, punctual, and reliable
Self-starter; ability to analyze, prioritize and complete tasks independently
Team player; works collaboratively by maintaining open and honest communication, respects and values others, supportive and helpful and shares the company values.
