AHP is looking for is looking for an experienced individual support our efforts as a (DEI) Manager.?The DEI Manager will cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment and develop and implement AHP’s diversity initiatives and strategy to attract, hire, and maintain a diverse workplace. This role incorporates DEI expertise, end-to-end project management, and strong communication to confidently guide our DEI efforts, all the while ensuring that positive change is implemented and experienced throughout AHP. To be successful in this job role, you should possess sound knowledge of labor and human rights legislation. You should also have outstanding communication skills and the ability to solve complex problems efficiently. Additionally, you should also have good collaborative and time management skills.??
Salary Range
$90,000 – $115,000 depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
Research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster the organization’s diversity goals
Partner with our human resources department to draft and implement recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse backgrounds
Develop and/or acquire training and development to aid diversity and retention initiatives.
Train and present on DEI topics, including training hiring managers on how to select, manage, evaluate, and retain diverse employees
Build effective working relationships with subject matter experts within the company and external marketplace to provide relevant updates regarding DEI-related trends, leading practices, and resources/tools
Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices. Provide training and policy updates to colleagues, ensuring legal compliance of management and human resources staff
Measure and forecast diversity metrics
Revise and update all communication on our website, social media pages, job descriptions and internal documents to ensure we use non-discriminatory language
Review current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder the company’s diversity goals
Manage the annual DEI calendar, including providing logistical planning, coordination and support for enterprise DEI events and initiatives as well as standing stakeholder meetings and agendas
Partner with marketing team to draft internal communications and external social media posts that articulate company news, updates, events, or celebrations
Work with our marketing team to develop inclusive internal and external communication and web content for DEI-related efforts
Manage the annual DEI calendar, including providing logistical planning, coordination and support for enterprise DEI events and initiatives as well as standing stakeholder meetings and agendas
Create and distribute monthly communications such as event reminders, educational opportunities, and newsletters
Serve on diversity committees as a thought partner and liaison
Actively research new pedagogies, curricula, and best practices that address common corporate challenges in teaching about cultural competence, awareness of racial micro-aggressions, identity, social difference, and inequality, and partner with the Director of DEI to incorporate these conversations into company training and community discussions
Assist our Recruiting Team with DEI-related projects as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Uses consultative skills to collaborate with internal partners to identify gaps related to cultural competency
Technologically savvy and has demonstrated excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to problem-solve, be resourceful and exercise good judgment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including proven dispute resolution skills.
High degree of discretion and experience working with privileged, confidential information
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and change direction as needed in a fast-moving environment

Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience working with privileged, confidential information
Expertise with best practices, cutting edge theory, and organizational change theories for ensuring a Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive workplace
Experience with serving diverse communities and deep engagement with supporting leaders, employees, and markets of color
Project management experience
Experience as a trainer and curriculum developer
Experience working with employee work groups and committees regarding DEI matters to engage in and/or co-deliver DEI-related trainings and programs to strengthen our community.
