Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree with a major in organizational development, human resources, business administration, public administration, educational leadership, educational supervision or a related field; master’s preferred.
2. Three years or more equity, inclusion, or organizational development department experience, preferably in a school district.
3. Satisfactory work record & criminal/child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 114, and 151)
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Summary:
The Director of Culture, Equity and Inclusion leads the development and implementation of proactive culture, equity and inclusion initiatives in support of the Division’s strategic plan and priorities to create an environment where all have the opportunity to succeed. The Director will develop and implement a vision, strategy and programs to creative a positive culture for diversity, equity and inclusion to flourish; actively engage students, team members and the community to support diversity, equity and inclusion; collaborate with internal and external stakeholder groups to assess the need for, and recommend training and initiatives on issues of diversity and equity. The Director will collaborate with district leadership to research, communicate, and implement short-term and long-term educational planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to create, implement and monitor programs and initiatives designed to ensure equitable access and opportunity for students, staff and families.
2. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to develop division and school-based processes and practices that promote equitable end inclusive access opportunity for students and team members.
3. Create, implement, and monitor programs and services that enhance academic success for all students and a “resilient can do” culture for students and team members.
4. Engage staff, students and the community to build a positive welcoming and inclusive culture.
5. Lead and coordinate cross-departmental efforts to promote and sustain educational equity and inclusiveness, close achievement gaps, diversify the workforce, address student discipline disproportionality, and support rigorous learning opportunities for all students.
6. Establish and maintain key performance indicators and a reporting system to monitor and improve Division programs.
7. Assess and monitor program effectiveness issue periodic reports.
8. Collaborate with external and internal stakeholder groups, including students and families, to promote end advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
9. Provide training to build a culture of equity and inclusion, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support of equity and inclusion values and maintain compliance with applicable laws in collaboration.
10. Promote Division commitment to a climate of equity, diversity, and inclusion through interaction with the School Board, Senior-Level Management, division staff, students and the community.
11. Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to create recommendations regarding the District’s equitable allocation of financial and human resources,
12. Review and take recommendations for the development of Board policies and administrative regulations to align the District’s equity policies and goals. 13. Respond to questions from schools and citizens about programs and services as they relate to diversity, equity and inclusion; direct inquiries to appropriate individuals and processes.
14. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned or delegated by the Superintendent.
