Responsibilities:
Payroll and timekeeping entry for union labor on a weekly basis;
Performs daily payroll functions. Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely;
Reviews and verifies employee timekeeping data via electronic time clock and/or spreadsheets and working schedules;
Interact with Operations staff and Scheduling Manager on a daily basis to verify overtime hours, absences, etc.;
Prepares and processes payroll change notices relative to changes of wage rate, primary job site, or position change;
Primary point of contact for employee payroll questions and discrepancy resolution;
Researches and resolves questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information such as vacation time and PTO; payroll discrepancies, punch reports.
Prepares adjustment paperwork as necessary;
Requirements:
One to Two (1-2) years’ proven experience with high volume payroll processing;
Ability to prioritize tasks ensuring all payroll deadlines are met;
Computer proficiency with Excel and MS Office
Knowledge of third party payroll software (ADP, PayPro, PayChex, etc.);
Ability to communicate effectively to other departments to resolve payroll issues before they arise.
