Job summary
As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be responsible for supporting payments operations for Amazon Pay WW. You will collaborate with global and cross functional teams to continually improve the merchant and buyer experience. You will own defining and delivering critical payment operations programs and metrics with a broad cross-organizational and business impact. You will successfully deliver solutions and mechanisms that resolve significantly complex problems and provide long-term beneficial impact to our customers. You will realize cost savings through reduction of cost of payments, decline management strategies, and by identifying operational efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of payments operations, payment network rules, ecommerce experience, project management best practices and business analysis experience . We require an individual who is detailed oriented, with a keen sense of ownership, drive, and entrepreneurship.

Key job responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the Payments & Risk team focused on developing a robust, actionable payment operations programs.
- Drive and evangelize an operational vision and roadmap that informs execution prioritization and growth
opportunity
- Provide thought leadership on payments authentication and payment compliance
- Deliver meaningful data analysis and insights to drive decisions on payment processing improvements
- Keep stakeholders informed of payment effectiveness, priorities, execution status, and KPIs
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the
business needs versus technical constraints.
- Work closely with product managers and technical teams to ensure payment products are built with operations
in mind
- Communicate and drive payment compliance requirements with payment network rules.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree
- Passionate about customers
- Previous experience working in a payments organization, with risk management responsibilities around legal,
compliance, business, technical or other related risks
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, ability to impact and influence outcomes in matrixed environment
- Excellent planning, analytical, and execution skills. Meticulous and methodical, detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to dive deep and ask the right questions
- Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in
order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business
- Strong problem-solving mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters/MBA
- Experience working in a payments capacity within a high-growth, Ecommerce organization, or equivalent
professional experience
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others
- Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven
track record of taking ownership, leading data-driven analyses, influencing results, and presentation of
programs to senior leadership
