Quality! First and foremost, we want out customers to receive their order in the best shape possible which means the job needs to be done right 100% of the time. With quality we need accuracy, putting the correct product with the correct order. Speed will come as you familiarize yourself with our vast inventory! We want you to excel in these areas. Those with an IT or technological background will do well as our system relies on technology to function. Reading and writing in English is a must and its required with the documents printed. Speaking English is preferable and being bi-lingual is a plus!
What does a Shipping and Receiving Clerks Associate Do?
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk. As part of our team, you oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies, store items in the appropriate areas, and prepare items for shipping. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume of items entering and leaving the facility. You must be able to lift up to 60 pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift.
Responsibilities and required skills
- Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility
- Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
- Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
- Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
- Maintain a clearly organized workspace
- Shipping: You are responsible for the shipping process after packing. You handle the labelling of, expedited, ground and sure-post shipping. You will be using UPS WorldShip and troubleshooting addresses via google maps or another platform. You will be palletizing orders once scanned and placing them in the trailer.
- Distinguishing between different shipping options.
- Ensuring that an ORMD label is on all ammunition orders
- Scanning orders and verifying the shipping address is correct
- Separating damaged un-usable and good pallets.
- Chalking trailer for forklift access.
- Wrapping pallets once complete.
- Checking addresses for schools, or academies that are not addressed to the security department
- Being aware of magazine capacities for certain states and ensuring one does not get processed.
- The proper loading of the trailer to ensure safe transport of our product
