Amphib Digital is seeking a talented Sr Postgress Database Developer to support a small software consulting firm in Northern, VA with a contract effort to help the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
This role will help modernize how citizens interact with their national forests. Using a modern technology stack and agile approach, in this role you will have an opportunity to be a part of a workforce that is transforming IT through technology modernization efforts within the USDA.
In this highly collaborative and diverse environment, your contributions as a developer will make a real impact and be meaningful in helping to enhance citizens engagement and involvement to forests and help protect our national forests and grasslands.
Daily Responsibilities
- Expert level experience in design, development and implementation of postgres db.
- Migration experience from oracle to Postgres is a must.
- Experience with AWS RDS service for Postgres
- Geospatial db experience with Postgres is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of Postgres experience and 8 years of information technology
- Understand integration of data from Postgres to other external systems
- Ability to work in an agile environment
This is a long-term opportunity with our customer.
Salary: $110-120K depending on experience.
