Role Description

Provide assistance in identifying evaluating and resolving human resource issues and work performance problems.

Key Requirements

• Facilitate communications and improve the human resource function.
• Responsible for the administrative support of day to day Human Resource operations.
• Assist with human resource activities to ensure legal compliance fairness and consistency.
• Administer employee benefit program and maintain appropriate employee files and database.
• Provide administrative support for the Plant Manager and Human Resource Manager which require handling confidential data.
• Administer track and respond to questions on sick leaves vacations and other benefits for hourly and salaried employees.
• Administer and track payroll. Prior experience with Kronos payroll platform a big plus!
• Plan and implement employee gatherings such as service awards salaried meetings customer visits and the annual plant activities.
• Participate as needed on various committees i.e. certain quality and training committees.
• Maintain a good working relationship with the employees the union and the salaried work force.
• Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policies.

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associates degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or related discipline with a minimum of two 2 years’ experience working in a Human Resources Department.
• Must have prior experience in FMLA and benefit administration.
• Individual must possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment and have experience dealing with confidential matters.
• Individuals must possess the ability to interpret and resolve sensitive and complex issues.
• Ideal candidate will be able to communicate, respond, and support, all levels of organizational staff.
• Must have strong organizational skills as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must have strong computer skills and have knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Applications.
• Ideal candidate will enjoy working in a busy but fun manufacturing facility.
