Job Description Summary
The Special Funds Accountant is responsible for ensuring the
organization complies with grant and scholarship awards and creates accurate and timely financial statements. Ensures the integrity of
accounting information by recording, verifying, allocating, reconciling, consolidating, and entering transactions. Analyzes financial
information and summarizes financial status. The position reports to the Controller and works with organizational leadership to align
funding and program strategies to fulfill the mission of the organization. Administers federal, state, local, and private grants, ensuring
the College remains in compliance with all applicable fiscal rules and regulations; upholding an infrastructure where college staff have the
necessary resources to effectively manage awards.

Preferred
Qualifications
1. Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
2. CPA or
current CPA candidate or equivalent experience.
3. Higher education, non-profit, or governmental accounting experience.
4. Experience with Ellucian Colleague, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, or similar accounting software.5. Proficiency in a foreign
language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Your total compensation goes beyond
this maximum salary. Your A-B Tech benefits represent nearly 30% of your total compensation.The total compensation for this position
includes a 25.02% employer contribution to a defined pension plan, contributions towards medical and dental policies and fully funded life
insurance / accidental death & dismemberment policy.
