Job Description
We are seeking a bi-lingual, Senior HR Manager in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven HR Manager to join the Associated Materials team to positively impact the employee experience and our strategic goals. The Sr. Human Resources Manager will be highly regarded with an excellent track record in their current environment.
The successful candidate must be an analytical, collaborative, results oriented leader who can effectively manage relationships across our network and implement site HR processes. This role is responsible for providing leadership, establishing and implementing human resources processes which support the strategic mission of the overall business plans and objectives for the site. The Sr. Human Resources Manager leads and manages all aspects of the HR function within his/her assigned site.
Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Passionately creates and ensures a culture of openness and employee engagement.
• Ensures hourly staffing requirements are met with high caliber employees.
• Assist in leading change initiatives to foster an environment of sustained improvements related to the overall employee experience by methodically and aggressively implementing repeatable and efficient processes for the employee and the business.
• Engages and aligns local HR resources on business strategy, HR agenda and related deliverables.
• Partners with Site Mfg. Leadership team to create and / or implement both a process and plan to cross training production employees.
• Manages all aspects of the HR function within the assigned site including compensation, benefits, recruitment, retention and performance management by working with COE’s and within framework.
• Works with site management by providing coaching and consulting support in all areas of talent management, including selection, assessment, development, deployment, engagement and retention of talent.
• Assists and builds effective and creative community involvement programs to attract and retain top talent. This includes working with local universities as well as supporting the AM HR brand to measure employee satisfaction.
• Leads efforts and provides guidance on organizational effectiveness, change and design interventions with the goal of improving our overall talent retention.
• Assesses, prioritizes and represents workforce needs and HR operations. Collaborates in identifying solutions, takes a lead role in their implementation and engages in ongoing assessment of HR process effectiveness and identification of improvement opportunities and solution.
• Drives annual performance reviews, compensation and succession planning process.
• Ensure and creates consistent treatment systems for all employees (work rules, etc).
• May work with federal, state, and local educational institutions to secure training grants and develop educational partnerships that strengthen our business and help develop associates.
• Work with educational institutions to develop active, viable co-op and internship programs, possibly designing rotations within our business into the curriculum at the program level.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field. Preferred Master’s Degree.
7+ yrs of experience as an HR leader
Spanish and English language fluency is required.
Progressively responsible hands-on experience managing core HR functions such as recruitment, compensation, succession planning, benefit designs, employee relations, legal compliance and labor relations. Prior HR management experience in a manufacturing experienced required; preferred multi-site responsibility.
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
A passion and a high degree of aptitude for employee development, coaching/mentoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills; solid working knowledge of MS Office. Technical aptitude for learning new systems.
Solid business acumen and demonstrated ability to contribute as a business partner to achieve business results. This includes ability to utilize metrics, analytical and financial acumen to solve problems.
Able to juggle competing demands, prioritize, work with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines, exceed expectations, and deliver on commitments in a fast-paced high energy environment.
Proven understanding of local labor and benefit laws such as FMLA, ADA etc.
Excellent teamwork, problem solving, analytical and project leadership skills required.
Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion, maturity and professionalism.
Ability to promote the corporate culture through a demeanor of professionalism, helpfulness, respect, integrity, teamwork, drive to exceed expectations, and positive energy at all times.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with peers, subordinates, superiors and vendors/service providers.
Strong collaboration skills in team settings, working groups, and committees, both as a team player as well as a leader.
Ability to travel to other sites as needed up to 15% of time.
