Job Summary
This position gets daily direction from the sites General Manager. They will help maintain day-to-day site operations and maintenance metrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with vendors to organize, plan, assign, and schedule maintenance work involved in the inspection, repair, maintenance, and servicing of trucks, tractors and trailers.
- Inspect maintenance facilities and equipment to determine their proper utilization and maintenance.
- Monitor operator performance; identify and process vehicle abuse, accident, and incident cases.
- Maintains safety and cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Maintains compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Learns all routes and has the ability to run them if needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Build relationships and promote driver retention.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, driving continuous improvements in communication and operations by stressing proactive approach to problem solving.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Requires a valid Commercial Driver’s License or must obtain one within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated good decision making and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Knowledge of CDL regulations
- Knowledge of multiple types of trucks
- Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Lift up to 75lbs
- Be available to schedule or perform for on-call emergencies nights and weekends
- Mechanically inclined
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience with commercial driving required.
- Previous experience with supervision helpful.
Physical demands and Working Environment
Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions, indoors and out. Incumbent may be exposed to all types of environmental conditions, with noise, vibrations, odors and dust, and may work for long periods in hot or cold. Incumbents must be able to work with small components and be able to distinguish clearances around machinery with moving parts. Incumbents must be physically able to perform strenuous work and in sufficient physical condition to safely perform the duties of the position. Incumbent must possess the stamina to work long hours and overtime, if necessary.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
