Job Summary
The Avera Cancer Institute (AVI) Patient Service Center (PSC) operates under the direction of Campus Services and their function is the collection of diagnostic specimens from ACI patients. The RN is responsible for the collection of Line-Based specimens as well as peripheral vein phlebotomy. They are also responsible for providing front line evaluation of patient condition presentation to ensure that any variance is brought to the attention of the appropriate clinician in a timely manner in accordance with established protocols.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.
Oncology certification preferred.
Certification in specialty preferred.
Membership in a professional organization preferred.
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm; 48hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$26.25 – $39.25 per hour
