The Human Resources Assistant of AMG is a dynamic role in the organization to internal and external stakeholders alike. The HR Assistant is integral to driving progress and stabilizing recruitment, benefits administration, HR administration and all facets of HR programs in conjunction with the HR Director and the Strategic Leadership Team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES*:
Support HR Team & Employee Relations:
Support the full life cycle of all employees from onboarding to offboarding
Support employee performance management and development with an in-depth understand of the agency
Training coordinator for agency wide and Individual training admin for employees
May assist with payroll functions Including processing, fixing processing errors and optimizing process
Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors
Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, etc
Recruitment / Onboarding / Compliance:
Support AMG’s open and/or assigned requisitions through multiple recruitment channels and screening qualified candidates
Keep Applicant Tracking System (ATS) In good standing with candidate notes and status
Assist in onboarding of new hires including but not limited to background/reference checks, scheduling trainings, new hire documentation, starting employee file on HR Server
Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
Maintain the Integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
Perform periodic audits of HR files and records
Be a promoter of AMG – you are the first Interaction a candidate has with AMG
Be Proactive and Resourceful:
Work with the Human Resource Director to establish target goals and objectives for department and agency
Work with HRIS partners to improve HRIS system(s)
Think outside the box on ways to continuously improve the HR department and agency
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage several projects while projecting a positive demeanor.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
