Summary:
Experienced recruiter responsible for recruiting exempt and non-exempt, supervisory and managerial information technology positions throughout Baystate Health. Participates as part of the Talent Acquisition team to provide quality staffing. Works in collaboration with assigned hiring managers to perform full life cycle recruitment functions. Responsible for participating in developing and implementing sourcing strategy for both high volume and hard to fill roles, screening, scheduling and conducting behavioral event interviews. Conducts salary negotiations, extends offers and coordinates the on-boarding of new hires. Ensures time to fill is on par with established timelines and service levels. Partners collaboratively with HRBP and workforce planning to understand staffing models an implement TA plans for staffing. The consultant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human resources industry. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Sourcing Candidates: Perform search initiation meetings with hiring leads and create a basic sourcing tactics, verification and updating of posting language, posting positions, solid understanding of clinical careers and the ability to identify individuals with skill sets needed, ability to identify a organization role that is picking up on recruitment volume or one that is hard to fill and work with manager to create comprehensive sourcing strategy. Ability to create sourcing pools and continually focus on creative sourcing tactics.
2) Candidate Assessment: Screening – reviewing applicants in an expedited manner from ATS and referrals to assess skill set, general competency and certifications for various roles. Interviewing – understanding of compliance and eligibility policies, ability to assess individual competencies for role, conduct phone, video and/or in person interviews. Ability to offer an overview of Baystate benefits and culture. Presentation of candidates – Work with hiring manager to develop a presentation process that is acceptable and timely. Understand what information is important to pass along to provide hiring managers with information needed to make decisions. Solid understanding of healthcare careers and the ability to discuss pathways and career ladders in healthcare.
3) Selection / Offer: Ability to work with manager and compensation to determine an equitable offer, ability to communicate offers to candidate and finalize hire process in ATS. Ability to manage basic negotiations between candidates, compensation and hiring manager. Ability to identify issues and bring in manager to situations that require more complex management.
4) Administrative Tasks; Technical understanding of ATS, follow guidelines of advancement and declination of candidates in ATS, ensure manager approvals or follow up with them appropriately, follow state and federal guidelines for recruitment.
5) Collaboration: Work professionally and collaboratively with hiring managers, TA Colleagues, and HR colleagues. Set regular meetings with hiring managers and directors, ability to identify and provide data needed in operational decisions.
Required Work Experience:
1) 5 years’ recruitment experience in lieu of degree.
2) 2 years of professional recruiting experience in information technology
Preferred Work Experience:
1) Healthcare recruiting.
Skills and Competencies:
1) Clear and professional communication skills.
2) Technical understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems.
3) Organizational skills including organization of daily and weekly tasks and responsibilities.
4) Evidence of relationship building.
5) Ability to listen and understand complex issues.
6) Ability to develop a basic sourcing plan for approval by a TA manager including writing an attractive job posting and recognizing when additional sourcing is needed.
7) Takes responsibility of recruitment process and recommends resolutions to issues.
8) Identifies areas of development, continual learner.
9) Ability to work in a continuously changing field that requires constant flexibility.
