We are currently looking for a Logistics Manager to work out of our office in Sacramento, California, or remotely from a home office on the West Coast.

What You’ll Do

• Provide excellence in the management and delivery of logistics for the projects
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees
• Collaborate with the Procurement Manager and Project Manager(s) to schedule and coordinate arrival times of material deliveries from various subcontractors and vendors.
• Create inventory reconciliation reports, including delivery, in-transit inventory, etc. Report inventory discrepancies and manage document reconciliation.
• Track logistic shipments from various locations and provide status reports.
• Collaborate with project Superintendent to ensure appropriate staffing for daily material management activities with employees
• Ensure site prep work is complete in areas to support logistics and material deliveries
• Direct and guide material handling craft to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes through quantity and quality checks.
• Communicate with material vendors and subcontractors daily to ensure scheduled deliveries are on track
• Identify potential schedule changes, workflow, and staffing issues due to weather, delivery delays, and other circumstantial changes
• Maintain material delivery schedule and identify upcoming issues. Solve any logistics and delivery problems or on-site issues that may arise.
• Work directly with Port authorities and trucking companies to find solutions when required.
• Responsible for scheduling maintenance of on-site equipment and machinery.
• Review all logistics invoices for accuracy.
• Develop and follow processes for systems and communication lines on site and ensure implementation is consistent.
• Manage onsite logistics personnel

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or related programs
• 6+ years of logistics management experience in construction, renewable energy industry preferred.
• Intimate knowledge of construction activities, production rates, equipment selection, building types and construction methods.
• Must have the ability to prepare complex procedures with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrated organization and analytical skills and the ability to diagnose and analyze problems and drive appropriate solutions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in an organized and accurate manner.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Physical Demands:

• Sit at a desk 6-8 hours per day performing tasks on a computer
• Requires minimal physical effort with periods of walking, standing with some light lifting of files
• Minimal bending, stooping or reaching
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Working Conditions:

• Requiring normal safety precautions with minimal occupational health and safety risks
• Moderate to low noise levels
• Requires considerable concentration
• Stresses induced by changing environment, diversity in the organization, strict deadlines and high volume of workload
