Job Summary
Core functions of the position are data analysis, decision support, research, report development, market pricing, and general support for the compensation consulting team. This may include helping to bring together all the research and data that goes into the making of the ‘deck’ (or slide deck/report), which contains the firm’s analysis of the client’s problem and its proposed solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
· Research, analyze, and maintain large data sets to solve problems and influence clients
· Assist with client deliverables, deadlines, and communications
· Analyze root causes, pinpoint problems and propose fact-based and cost-effective solutions
· Develop effective financial models
· Create meaningful, high-quality reports detailing the firm’s analysis of a client’s challenges and opportunities. This may involve bringing the findings together in a PowerPoint slide that looks interesting and tells a coherent story about how FutureSense proposes to resolve the client’s issues. At times, this may involve building financial models in Excel, or other programs, to underpin the deck and sometimes this may only involve creating a presentation based on the data analysis
Qualifications:
· BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Business or similar discipline with analytical bias
· 1 year of corporate work experience (preferred)
· Eagerness to learn and develop knowledge in business and the compensation function within human resources
· Highly analytical, detail oriented, critical thinker who can tell a story using data
· Demonstrated experience meeting tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and working independently to achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
· Humble team player, with a strong work ethic, who can focus for long periods of time with minimal supervision
· Values independence, flexibility, working remotely, passions outside of work, and a strong culture of work/life balance
