Here’s What You’d Do

As the Vice President of Logistics, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the logistics and fleet/equipment maintenance strategy.

You’d Be Responsible For

Logistics

• Logistics Strategy: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to optimize the logistics network, focusing on efficiency and reducing transportation costs in the domestic market
• Cost Management: Analyze logistics costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement strategies to improve overall cost-effectiveness
• Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions to improve visibility and traceability
• Performance Analytics: Utilize data analytics to measure and analyze logistics performance, providing insights for continuous improvement

Maintenance

• Operate and utilize computerized diagnostic (TMT) and other tracking systems
• Create and implement a business plan for area of responsibility including processes, protocols and procedures to streamline productivity and set benchmarks
• Develops cost reporting methods to increase understanding and identify opportunities to adjust strategy
• Actively works with management for establishing equipment specifications for major capital expenditures

You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have

• 15 years of related experience in fleet management, operations, general management
• Bachelor’s degree in BA, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated skills in data analytics, business planning, negotiations, financial acumen, contract negotiations, and problem-solving
• Ability to develop and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability
• Proven success in managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and negotiating contracts with transportation partners
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with logistics providers
• Familiarity with logistics technology solutions
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools
• Visionary leadership with the ability to drive innovation and change in a dynamic industry
