Performs minor office support work for the County’s recreational programs. Work involves setting up and arranging facilities for recreational use, and performing related clerical tasks. Work requires prior office experience and is performed under close general supervision.
Essential Job Functions
Inspects facility and grounds; arranges furniture and equipment for scheduled activities; prepares areas for the next shifts events.
Ensures order, cleanliness and safety for patrons inside and outside the Community Center.
Answers and resolves the public’s questions and problems by determining the correct solution or forwarding inquiry to the level that can properly resolve the issue.
Respond and initiate telephone calls and inquiries.
Maintains various records and forms; collects fees and issues receipts in accordance with policy.
Completes various clerical assignments to include use of Parks & Recreation specific software, proofreading, create updated signage for notifications as needed and file as needed. Adjusts daily schedules as needed for optimal facility usage.
Assists with the preparation and implementation of special events as needed.

Modern office procedures and practices including operation of office appliances such as computers.

Perform general office clerical work quickly and efficiently.
Deal effectively with the public.
Required Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.)
Training and/or Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience
Two years of general office experience and two years of customer service experience.
Licenses or Certificates
First Aid and CPR Certification preferred.
Special Requirements
Must be 18 years of age.
Subject to background investigation.
Physical Demands
Requires long periods of standing, frequent walking indoors, repeated bending, crouching, stooping, stretching or reaching; recurring lifting of objects up to 49 pounds; operation of keyboard devices.
Unusual Demands
Required to work evening, weekends and holidays.
Work is subject to frequent interruptions.
