There is one vacancy with the Department of Planning and Permitting, Customer Services Office, Permit Issuance Branch. Independently reviews and approves the full range of building plans and specifications of residential buildings and structures for conformance with provisions of the Building Code, Housing Code, Zoning Code, and other related ordinances; approves and issues building and related permits; and performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of progressively responsible experience in reviewing building plans and specifications, or inspecting building construction, for conformance with the provisions of laws, codes, and related ordinances, two of which shall have involved interpreting, applying, and/or enforcing the Building Code and related ordinances.
