This position is located in White Hall, Illinois.
The Human Resources Representative is our front-line person providing exceptional customer service to employees and outside vendors. This person will be the first point of contact for responding to initial questions and requests and directing employees to the appropriate resource. This successful candidate will work closely with Plant Manager and Human Resources Team to provide HR services to support the organization. The role will encompass a wide variety of responsibilities and frequent interaction with employees within the company. The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and challenging environment and focus on providing customer service will make this an exceptional career opportunity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide a quality customer experience with employees and outside vendors as demonstrated by responsiveness to questions, respect for all issues, a sense of urgency in managing their role and responsibilities, and a commitment to care.
Schedule and conduct employee orientations
Assist with Benefit Wallet online enrollment
HRIS System Support- data entry for all employee benefit changes
HRIS System Support – for employee address and tax changes
Provide assistance and coordination for the annual benefit enrollment process
Create new hire orientation packets and employee files
Serve as primary contact for employee questions relating to HRIS system.
Initial employee contact for obtaining STD/FMLA forms. Tracks employee status for review and payroll
Completing of Employment Verification requests
Coordinate 90 day coffee brewer letter
Assist with coordination of company sponsored functions- holiday meals, Veterans Day, summer picnic.
Primary contact for vending machine and cafeteria operations.
Coordination and distribution of safety program vouchers – shoes and eye glasses
Office filing and mailings as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree in Human Resources preferred, with 2-3 years experience. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently and establish positive working relationships throughout the organization. The ability and experience in handling sensitive and confidential information is critical to this role, as is having a strong detail orientation and a technical aptitude for information systems. The ability to multitask and provide follow-through is critical.
