Burlington is actively seeking a strategic thought partner to lead the Early Career space at the Director level. The Director of Talent Acquisition – Early Career will be responsible for developing a strategic plan that is focused on building a scalable Early Career program to support Burlington’s growing business and projected talent needs across the organization. Building effective partnerships, both internally and externally, will be integral to this leader’s success.
This leader, reporting into the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition – will manage a team of recruiting leaders and professionals that are focused on attracting, engaging, and selecting top talent to join the Burlington family. This leadership position can be remote, with periodic travel to the Corporate office, based in Florence, NJ.
Responsibilities:
Lead, empower and coach a team of 6 professionals, consisting of Managers, Campus Recruiters, and a TA Specialist
Build strong partnerships across the company to seek to understand Burlington, our business, and our vision for evolving our approach in the Early Career talent space – while listening to learn and bringing your expertise to the table
Lead and guide the team in cultivating new relationships with colleges, universities, and national organizations to help support the diversification of Burlington’s Early Talent pipeline
Create and execute strategy and pipeline development activities (talent story development, recruiting events, marketing initiatives, sourcing strategies) that will attract world class entry-level talent from universities across the U.S to support Burlington’s projected growth trajectory
Maximize the strengths within the program while identifying areas of opportunity to improve depth, breadth, and scale of Burlington’s Early Career program
Collaborate and influence business stakeholders.
Drive alignment and implement changes.
Model a continuous improvement mindset to continue to evolve Early Career.
Education, Experience & Requirements:
Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of Talent Acquisition experience,with five years’ experience in managing others
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Early Career/Campus Recruitment space
Must be people oriented and results driven
Ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization, including Executive and C-Suite
Ability to analyze data, make recommendations and create/help execute plans in support of organizational goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Lead teams in a virtual environment
Experience leading change, including organizational structure in a high growth environment
Ability to travel up to 30% of the year, acknowledging that attending events on evenings and weekends may be required to represent Burlington
