Cabinetworks Group has an immediate opening for an HR Coordinator in our Waconia, MN manufacturing facility!

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as the information specialist for HR matters at a plant location
Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants and conducts new hire orientations.
Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications.
Enter and maintain hourly employee’s information in HRIS system regarding benefit changes and leave of absence.
Maintain time keeping and attendance records.
Process and review employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.
Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into HRIS system when needed.
Explain FMLA, short-term disability policies and procedures to employees. Responsible for processing all FMLA and short-term disability claims and ensuring compliance with the FMLA.
Responsible for annual benefit enrollment, including educating employees on benefit changes.
General clerical duties
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Bachelor or Associate degree in business or related area.
2 years HR experience to include staffing, benefits, employee relations, safety, and attendance management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with employment law, including FMLA, ADA, WC, and COBRA.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
PHR Certification
Experience working with Workday and Kronos
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
