Purpose of Position: CPCA is growing! This is an exciting opportunity to be an essential player in helping us build out our People Operations team. In this role you will play a key role in supporting our high performing people-oriented workforce. Specifically, you will be the People Ops Specialist who champions people analytics, and digital platforms both HRIS and membership data. As a member of the people team, you will carry out our JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, inclusion) culture and continually improve our employee experience via contributing to our people programs and projects. We are passionate abut supporting each of our teammates by building equitable and inclusive polices, programs, practices, and spaces. It is important that the new People Ops Specialist share similar passions and is committed to helping reinforce antiracist strategies and policies in CPCA’s culture.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will

• Provide general support to employees on People related questions (employment verifications, emails, calls) through a variety of channels (departments/POPS/Finance).
• Use your broad range of People Operations knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, highly organized thinking, and ability to handle multiple and constantly shifting priorities.
• Process system transactions for employment changes (pay changes, promotions, terms, etc.).
• Assist with benefits (open enrollment) and perks, payroll, employee onboarding and offboarding, leaves of absences, time off programs, maintaining employee records etc.
• Assist with all manner of ad-hoc organizational projects such as surveys, and compliance trainings.
• Champion people analytic (digital data)
• Build relationships and trust with our teammates to be their support system and ensure they feel connected to CPCA.
• Work closely with the Deputy Director of People Operations on company culture, our policies and people-approach that blend data insights with care and empathy.
• Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of People Operations files and knowledge.

We’re excited about you because

• You have 2+ ears experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or other HR role.
• You are highly organized, excellent communicator, facilitator, and listener with a balanced and thoughtful approach, who is adept at building trust with others while promoting inclusivity with teams.
• Experience working in a variety of modalities (i.e. online, in-person, remote etc.).
• You have a keen understanding of people and team dynamics with an ability to gain insight to problem solve.
• You are highly accountable and organizationally minded individual who is skilled at process and projects, and who can carry many simultaneous initiatives while prioritizing.
• You possess and demonstrate a growth mindset, with the desire to learn and ask questions.
• Must be able to collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics.
• Travel for national and regional meetings, training and site visits by air and ground transportation (not often).
• Reports regularly to manager.

Remote Office Expectation:
In response to COVID19 all CPCA personnel began telecommuting in March of 2020 to minimize the spread of the virus. This position may return to work at the CPCA office in Sacramento, but date is to be determined. This position does require the employee to have a cell phone with a data plan and home internet service, both are reimbursed at a set rate each month. All hires are required to maintain residence in California.

Salary: $69,642 + Excellent Benefits
