About the Position
***Partial Telework***This position offers a remote opportunity for Southern California applicants. In order to be considered, you must live in Southern California or be willing to relocate.
Reporting to a Human Resources Director, this position oversees the Benefits and Wellness section of the Human Resources Department, including supervision of two (2) Human Resources professionals. The Benefits and Wellness Manager will be an advocate for our employees and coordinate and administer CalOptima Health’s benefits and wellness programs, including all aspects of open enrollment planning and implementation, and the development and roll-out of various benefit and wellness program initiatives. This position sets a high standard for providing outstanding customer service and takes ownership to ensure all offerings are administered accurately and in a manner that supports CalOptima Health employees. As well, the Benefits and Wellness Manager is a champion of continuous improvement who evaluates employer-of-choice market trends and refreshes benefit and wellness offerings to align with the organizational strategic plan, as well as the changing needs of our growing workforce. The Human Resources (HR) Team ensures effective selection, development, and retention of our workforce. This includes recruitment and selection; benefits and wellness program administration; workers’ compensation and leave administration; training and education programs; classification and compensation; and Human Resources Information Systems. Our HR team is made up of dedicated, collaborative, and talented individuals whose top priority is serving over 1,400 employees who embrace our mission of providing our 915,000 members with outstanding service and access to quality health care services.
