Cedar Ridge Health and Rehab is seeking a Full-Time HR/Payroll Specialist to join our expanding staff at our 110-bed skilled nursing facility in historic Lebanon, IL! You will support our residents and work hand-in-hand with our already wonderful team of compassionate and enthusiastic caregivers. The HR/Payroll Specialist is responsible for HR administration at the facility, including payroll, new hire orientation, benefits, recruiting etc.

Your Job
Responsible for payroll and time clock processing
Answers incoming phone calls and greets facility visitors
Conducts new hire orientation. Ensures all new hire paperwork is complete and submits to the Payroll Consultant. Prepares new hire packets
Verifies and maintains license certifications, criminal background checks, nurse aide registry checks and recertification
Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
Assists in hiring process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, occasionally performs phone interviews, and ensures all staffing needs are met
Assists employees and supervisors with interpretation of HR policies and procedures
Orients employees on benefit plans to ensure individuals have an understanding of benefit offerings and enrollment provisions. Counsel employees on plan specifications so that individuals can make informed benefits decisions
Attends departmental meetings, in-service educational opportunities
Other related duties as assigned by Administrator
Who You Are
High school graduate or equivalent
Two years of job related experience, preferably in HR and or Payroll (Have other qualifying experience? We want to hear from you!)
