Director of Scholarship and Financial Aid
Central Michigan University, in partnership with the national search firm, Scott Healy & Associates, invites applications and
nominations for the position of Director of Scholarship and Financial Aid. Reporting to the Vice President for Student
Recruitment & Retention, the Director of Scholarships and Financial Aid is responsible for the administration of the Office of
Scholarship and Financial Aid. The Director will provide leadership of the University’s financial aid and scholarship programs, which
includes externally and internally funded loans, grants, and scholarship programs for all undergraduate and graduate students both on and
off-campus. The director will play an integral role on the Enrollment Management team, informing critical strategic decisions to leverage
aid to maximize student success outcomes. Central Michigan University seeks an experienced professional to serve in this important Director
role.
Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree.
* Six years of progressive financial aid
experience with at least three years of supervisory experience.
* Demonstrated understanding of federal regulations pertaining to
financial aid programs.
* Demonstrated understanding of best practices in scholarship management and awarding.
* Ability to
work collaboratively with diverse groups across all units.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to
perform the essential functions and requirements of the job.
