At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our team is seeking an individual who has the ability to support our core mission of risk reduction involving legacy structures across the Hanford Site to protect human health and the environment.
A day in the life of a CPCCo Operations Support Specialist (Buyer Technical Representative) may involve:
- Demonstrating creativity, adaptive thinking and sound judgment in anticipating and/or solving complex or novel engineering problems.
- Providing interface between contractors, design engineering, facility engineering, construction management, field supervision, and sometimes other Hanford contractors in the resolution of technical issues.
- Submitting and dispositioning subcontractor Request for Clarification or Information (RCI) reviews.
- Supporting development of Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s), Design Change Notices (DCN’s) and redline changes per procedure.
- Supporting the procurement process in the role of Buyer’s Technical Representative (BTR) and interfacing with the contractor, vendor and representatives of the CPCCo Procurement Department.
- Providing support, as needed, during project status meetings and budgetary planning and upkeep.
- Developing a thorough understanding of pertinent Hanford Site engineering standards to ensure technical products are fully compliant with company requirements.
- Supporting the performance of work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.
Basic Qualifications
* BA/BS degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of experience as a buyer technical representative (BTR), and/or operations support specialist, or equivalent.
- US Citizen.
Desired Qualifications
* Experience with Document Management & Control System (DMCS) or similar type Database/Document Control System.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Sound written communication skills.
- DOE site experience.
