This position performs highly sensitive work involving the receipt, storage, and issuance of police evidence and found property, where strict adherence to proper legal procedures is required. Candidates must therefore possess sound moral character, honesty, integrity, and credibility, which demonstrate their effectiveness and professionalism in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Duties require lifting bulky and heavy objects. Position is subject to 24-hour shift work, weekend and holiday work. Position may be exposed to obnoxious fumes/odors; infectious disease; contaminated articles; and caustic, inflammable, or explosive material.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Two (2) years of storekeeping experience.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of: office practices and procedures; property identification and characteristics; and principles and methods of storing and accounting for various types of items. Such experience must also have demonstrated the ability to: plan, set up, and maintain storage space allotments; and keep records and prepare reports.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid appropriate driver’s license (automobile/Type 3), prior to appointment.
