This is responsible, difficult, and varied secretarial, office support and public contact work, often of a confidential nature, providing advanced secretarial and administrative assistance to the City’s Police Department Emergency Communications Division requiring the skilled operation of a computer and various types of software and excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Work includes preparing business correspondence and reports; conducting research using various database programs and/or internet applications; assisting with the tracking of applicants through the hiring process and the related documents and files; maintaining training records and logs for the Division; professional and efficient reception and disposition of office calls, visitors, and incoming mail. Work requires the ability to effectively schedule, plan, and organize the workload, and a high level of discretion in the very responsible handling of exceptionally sensitive, confidential information.
Salary: $17.88 – $27.25 Hourly
