Position Title: Human Resource Assistant (Part Time)
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Manager
Summary: The HR Assistant aids the Human Resource Manager in various job functions including employee recruiting and record keeping. The position requires complete confidentiality of all information within their access. Responsibilities include screening applicants, record keeping, and visiting plants to obtain or share information and recognition and to attend various meetings. Role is expected to work 20-29 hours per week.

Fiduciary Responsibility: This position handles finances and confidential employee records. Therefore, exemplary criminal and financial background checks are required.
Education and/or Experience: Associates or Bachelors degree in business related field preferred or equivalent experience. If a student intern, CJB prefers a candidate specializing in human resources, business, accounting, or organizational psychology. Georgia Work Keys Test required. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
Language Skills: Ability to create, read, analyze, and interpret Insurance paperwork, Purchase Orders, SDSs, Handbooks, etc. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and visitors.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to interpret graphs, statistics, charts, production and quality data.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to use hands to lift, twist, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
