STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Claremont Management Corporation an Enrolled Agent Public Accounting Firm has an open position for a Staff Accountant with preferably 1 to 3 years’ experience of full cycle accounting. However, new graduates will be considered with appropriate education and work experience.

Scope of position:

• Preparation of financial statements, including processing of debits and credits
• Bank reconciliation and reviewing reports
• Support with individual and business tax returns
• Extensive client contact
• Special projects as needed, such as assistance with client budgets or forecasting
• Ability to travel within 25-35 miles from office to meet with clients as needed
• Must be able to work considerable overtime during tax season (January – April 15th)

Skills:

• Proficiency in MS Office suites high proficiency in Excel
• Familiarity of QuickBooks a plus
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, maintain accuracy, confidentiality and productivity
• Ability to multitask and maintain client/s information to create a depth of knowledge on client/s
• Ability to review financial statement and come to a fiscal conclusion regarding the state of business
• Strong problem solver and willingness to investigate options
• Ability to develop a strong professional working relationship with clients

Education:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting
• Enrolled Agent Designation a plus not required but, selected candidate must be willing to acquire designation
