The Leader of Immigration & Relocation will create and execute the overall immigration and relocation strategy companywide. This role will have oversight to teams that support both the Clemens Food Group production facilities as well as Country View Family Farms and PVT. This position will be responsible keeping up with immigration policies and best practices and implementing strategies that best match the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Immigration, Relocation, & Retention Strategy – Companywide
Build & manage the relocation & immigratuon strategy for Hatfield, Coldwater, and all CVFF locations
Bring new and innovative sources of relocation to the company for all business units
Manage relocation sources and measure success of each source
Manage all immigration related tasks as it related to relocation of hourly team members
Track retention of all relocated team members and use trends to improve retention
Create goals for population of relocated team members by plant location
Introduce and manage chaplaincy program for all relocated team members
Team Member Recruiting & Relocation
Own the relocation process for all relocation and immigration talent pipelines
Own the process for conducting initial screenings and relocation/immigration interviews
Create and manage process for all new TM travel
Manage hiring process for all relocated team members companywide
Manage screening processes for all relocated team members
Facilitate agency to direct hire process as needed
Create the process to greet all relocated team members and walk them through process
Facilitate all team member related issues and filter them to proper resource
Manage relationship with all vendor and agency partners as needed
Create and manage Engagement/retention interviews with all new relocated team members
Conduct weekly check ins with all new relocated TMs
Source Candidates from outside 75 mile radius of facilities and in targeted countries
Manage relationship with all legal vendor and agency partners
Manage all immigrationreferral pipelines (EB3, H2B, H3, H2A, TN)
Create and manage initial screening process and conduct initial screenings as needed
Visit target areas as needed (boots on the ground)
Company Housing Management
Manage and track all company housing across Coldwater and all CVFF Locations
Manage relationship with property management company
Work with property management company to facilatate lease agreements for all company owned housing
Hold property management company accountable to ensure all company owned housing is set up and livable for new and replaced tenants
Work with propery management company to ensure essentials for all new company owned housing units are in place
Ensure utilities are set up at all company owned housing units
Manage all tenant related issues as needed above & beyond property managememt company
Manage move in/ move out process for all company housed team members (hotel & housing)
Create sustainable process to assist new team members in temporary housing to find permanent housing options in surrounding area
Talent Management
Set expectations for direct reports
Coach direct reports for growth
Develop succession plan within internal communications team
Recruit and onboard new team members in Relocation department
Evaluate and implement team structure to match the vision for Relocation & HR Logistics
Establish and manage KPIs for Relocation recruiting and retention
Team CFG
Participate in all cross functional HR team meetings and activities.
Challenge status quo across organization.
Participate in community events.
Attend all cross functional meetings as needed
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience managing a team: remote preferrable
5 Years of experience in HR related role is required
Bilingual/Spanish required
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work independently
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Approachable to all levels of team members
Well organized, process focused and the ability to multi-task
Effective and creative problem solver.
Works with a high sense of urgency
Ability to remain flexible in a dynamically changing environment and still deliver on deadlines
Knowledge of I-9 US employment eligibility regulations
Knowledge of both US non-immigrant visas and employment based green card regulations- preferred
