Clintwood JOD is looking to expand its Finance and Accounting team with a new hire to support growth. The Staff Accountant is accountable in part for the timely and accurate preparation and maintenance of the financial statements. This responsibility encompasses all accounts on the organization’s balance sheets and income statements. In this role you will be responsible for applying generally accepted accounting standards to complete essential accounting duties, analyze trends, complete timely reviews of reconciliations and financial reports, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures are followed. You will learn our accounting systems and contribute significantly to our monthly and daily accounting, finance and tax processes. To be successful in this role you will be self-motivated, dependable and detail-oriented, with demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills. You will be fully engaged in the support of our Finance and Accounting teams and an outstanding opportunity to collaborate across multiple organizational business units.

Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting, Finance or Management preferred.

Coal Accounting Experience is preferred but not required.
