About This Job
As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Commerce Bank, you’ll attract top talent for one of Forbes’ Best Mid-Sized Employers and Best Banks in America for 2022! The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) role proactively partners with line of business leadership, hiring managers and Talent Management Consultants to provide knowledge, expertise and best practices in the sourcing and selection of top-quality human capital. The TAS will lead and facilitate the full lifecycle recruiting process, with a specific focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, for their assigned line(s) of business and ensure a best-in-class candidate and customer experience.
Essential Functions
Proactively source, screen, and interview candidates to meet the Talent Acquisition Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Collaborate with hiring managers, Talent Management, Compensation, Talent Development and other internal business partners to deliver a positive candidate experience
Work with TA Support Specialist to coordinate all interview logistics, pre- employment activities and the candidate hire process
Present and negotiate offers and discuss Total Rewards and onboarding with all new hires
Create and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain talented team members, specifically as related to Blue Chip priorities, and with a focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
Responsible for attending career fairs and professional networking events as a representative of Commerce Bank to build strong candidate pipelines and community relationships with a heavy focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Partner with local organizations, colleges, and universities and other applicable associates to market Commerce’s culture and career opportunities
Maintain the utmost confidentiality for all candidate and HR information at all times
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Expertise with candidate sourcing techniques, tools and applicant tracking systems, prefer Workday.
Expertise with behavioral interviewing techniques
In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Proven ability to provide excellent customer service, internally and externally, preferably on a high-volume Talent Acquisition Team
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
1-3 years of experience contributing to the success of a high-volume Talent Acquisition team required.
1+ years of recruiting experience in a high-volume setting preferred
Experience in financial services/banking or recruiting within financial services/banking and/or call center environment preferred
Talent Acquisition Specialist level will be determined based upon experience
