Position Overview:

The Manager of Provider Operations Strategic Planning will provide a full range of support to the Chief Program Officer to promote strategic priorities and long-term goals. Proactively follow through on objectives by preparing and reviewing tasks and deliverables that drive day to day operational tasks. Collaborate closely with Senior Director of Provider Operations to facilitate smooth operations and maintain an overview of business operations.

Essential Functions:

• Support strategic direction and leadership for the day-to-day operations ensuring the highest standards and efficiency.
• Manage the CPO’s workflow and priorities by anticipating essential next steps.
• Ensure critical, high priority CPO work assignments are successfully completed in a high quality, time-sensitive manner.
• Oversee duties that include time management, information flow, communication, and decision-making processes.
• Problem solves at a high level and anticipate departmental needs.
• Facilitate agendas and meetings and conduct necessary follow-up. Contribute to discussions around operational decisions.
• Manages internal and external special projects in coordination with other departments.
• Develop and implement strategies and feedback loops for increasing communication across the Provider Operations and across the organization.
• Work cross-departmentally to identify and troubleshoot larger system needs.
• Make recommendations around how to align around common goals and objectives.
• Facilitate workgroups and lead meetings.
• Support the CPO in the development and implementation of policies for departments the CPO oversees.
• Prepare policy briefings, talking points, presentations, and proposals for internal and external meetings.
• Drafts and edits various documents including internal/external correspondence. Creates and maintains files, reviews drafts and finished documents for accuracy and grammar, including documents of a sensitive or confidential nature.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education:

• Education: Master’s degree in business, Public Health, Healthcare or Public Administration, or Social Services related field
• License/Certification: N/A
• Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience with progressively responsible work experience
• Understanding of HealthChoices Program Standards and Requirements and other regulatory guidelines.

Philadelphia Residency Requirement:

• The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.
