Full Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of general accounting and internal control type activities.

Duties

Assist with month end closings, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Has a thorough understanding and experience with internal controls

Update and maintain internal controls – including quarterly check lists

Work closely with Inventory/Procurement management to ensure policies and procedures are being followed

Maintain fixed asset listing (Midland location) and send to Sr. Staff Accountant.

Assist Audit-Billing Specialist with field ticket review and processing.

Process accounts payables invoices in the accounting system.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, records, ledgers and budgets.

Other projects as assigned by management.

Position Details

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Status: Part-time or Full-time (Flexible)

Amount of Travel Required: Quarterly to Corporate Office

Reports to: CFO

Direct Reports: None

Work Schedule: Flexible or Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Experience: 3+ years in an accounting related position with a focus on internal controls/audit. Previous experience with internal controls is required.

Other Requirements: Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
