Purpose of the Position
Support Human Resources activities, including employment, employee relations, EEO policies, policy interpretation and administration, benefits, employee training and development and fair/equitable treatment of all employees in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities & Duties
¦Responsibility 1 – Support HR leadership in the effective execution of the plant strategies to meet business goals, and provide feedback and support on all employee related issues at the site. Act as coach for supervisors on resolving general associate relations issues, including conducting employee relations investigations and fact finding by administering company’s performance management, conflict resolution process, and employee handbook to ensure compliance with company policies, state laws and regulations. Provides day to day performance management guidance to front line management (coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions)
¦Responsibility 2 – Leads full cycle recruiting and off-boarding and on-boarding activities for all hourly positions at site.
¦Responsibility 3 –Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
¦Responsibility 4 – Supports Training Manager through effective training procedures and programs designed to address plant opportunities and/or regulatory compliance.
¦Responsibility 5 – Ensures accurate Policy and Procedure interpretation, including a working knowledge of Company Handbooks, local, state and federal regulations.
¦Responsibility 6 – Maintains employee records and files: payroll, benefits, compensation, personnel files and Worker’s Compensation.
¦Responsibility 7 – Performs other job related duties as may be assigned or required.
Requirements
BS or BA in Business, Human Resources Management or related field
Minimum 2 years Human Resources Generalist Experience In-depth knowledge of Human Resources disciplines including Talent Acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations and employee training and development. General understanding of legal principles and employment laws.
Manufacturing Experience preferred
