Project Manager
CISSDM is a leader in network design, deployment, and management. We are seeking a talented Project Manager whose focus is on providing the best customer service and support to our clients and partners while being agile in order to deliver projects under budget and on time.
CISSDM designs, installs, and supports best of breed network technologies delivered through a flexible support model with customized support processes. Our solutions leverage platforms from Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for WAN Edge Infrastructure like Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, and others. The CISSDM Field Service Project Manager’s duties include but are not limited to managing day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple structured cabling and hardware installation projects ranging in size from small office to large industrial facilities.
Job Description
We are looking for knowledgeable and flexible Project Managers that have hands-on experience in the telecom field.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of cabling and hardware projects that could include structured cabling, access control hardware, audio/video, networking equipment and more. The candidate should have experience in structured cabling, dispatch coordination, and customer service. Permitting familiarity is a plus. The ideal candidate should possess flexibility and a sense of duty to complete projects under budget and on-time.
What a PM will do at CISSDM:
· Manage and deploy large-scale structured cable and hardware installations with both technical and operational components and adhere to budget, timeline, and scope
· Hold resources accountable for timeline, budget, and have the dexterity to identify risks or obstacles while escalating issues when necessary
· Be an advocate for the customer. The PM must be flexible and be able to understand change management procedures and shepherd the customer to embrace changes in their project
· Track project deliverables and communicate project updates internally within the CISSDM team and externally with customers and partners accordingly on a regular basis
· Manage customer relationships and identify potential sales opportunities while managing the deployment of client projects or existing engagements
· Transition project deployments or professional services to managed services support
· Report on project KPIs as well as maintaining SLAs
Required Skills:
· Excellent communication skills; we are looking for a self-starter who loves transparency and flexibility and has no problem taking the ball to the finish line to move the project forward.
· You must be able to embrace change and be nimble to quickly look for solutions while management multiple projects at the same time
· We are looking for a candidate with leadership skills that is highly motivated who also has the ability to self-direct work independently and later provide guidance to others on the team.
· You have strong analytical skills and love solving puzzles and customer challenges. Your customer service and relationship-building skills coupled with your ability to solve problems allows you to see the “big picture” and drive the project to satisfy the customer’s expectations
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent certifications (PMP, ITIL, etc) and technical training OR 5 years of experience in the Telecommunications or IT industries.
· The right candidate for this job must enjoy travelling, as travel up to 50% is required when meeting onsite with large, enterprise customers
