We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills with a natural ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to join our Human Resources Team!
Bi-weekly Salary:
Level I: $1,617.30 – $1,965.86
Level II: $1,698.16 – $2,064.15
The Human Resources Technician provides technical work in all of the following areas: recruitment, testing, and selection, classification; in addition to performing a variety of record keeping, administrative and technical support activities.
Under general supervision, performs a variety of complex and specialized program, office, administrative and general support work for the County Human Resources and Risk Management programs; to prepare personnel transactions; to provide a variety of information about County Personnel policies and procedures to employees and the public; to assist in the recruitment and selection process; and to perform related tasks as assigned. Employees in this classification receive limited to direct supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This classification is designated as Confidential.

Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education, training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in human resources or related field. An Associate’s degree may substitute for one year of required experience.
Experience in benefits administration and protective leaves of absences (FMLA and CFRA) is highly desirable.
Special Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license.
All County of Del Norte employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through State law (California Government Code Section ). Employment with the County of Del Norte requires the affirmation of a loyalty oath to this effect. Employees are required to complete all Disaster Service Work related training as assigned, and to return to work as ordered in the event of an emergency.
