Position:
Title: Low Voltage Tech
Director Report to: Project Manager
Compensation: Based on Experience and Certs
General Duties and Objectives
1.General
· Support paperwork maintained for all activities in a neat and orderly fashion in compliance with D1 filing procedures for both personal and management files.
· Maintain professional demeanor in all communications with customers, employees, and other members of management.
·Communicate with management on a routine basis in order to keep informed of employee and office issues.
·Proper business casual dress attire to project a professional image to the customer and D1 co-workers.
·Ensure that all processes and procedures are consistently communicated and administered throughout all business situations.
·Continue to work/manage specific customer projects as they are assigned.
2. Daily Operations
·Present yourself in a professional manner that represents what the company expects.
·Maintaining a positive attitude in relation to the company, customers, employees, and your job.
·Recognizing any potential problems in your area of responsibility and implementing solutions for these problems.
·Maintain open communications to ensure efficient work methods and processes between all departments.
·Operate in a manner that will support and help maintain a high standard of D1.
3.Confidentiality
·Maintain the highest level of confidentiality pertaining to employee medical, personal, and financial records.
·Maintain the highest level of confidentiality pertaining to corporate proprietary or confidential information and records that you may have access to, are exposed to, or work within your daily activities to perform the assigned responsibilities of your position.
·Maintain businesslike, professional, non-personnel relationships with all employees. Intercompany, personnel relationships are strongly discouraged due to the level of confidential, company information exposed by the position.
4.Specific Goals/Guidelines for the Operations Department
·Assist Journeymen, Foremen, and other technicians in the installation and commissioning of Low Voltage systems.
·Under the direction of a supervisor, perform Fire Alarm Inspections for D1 Networks’ customers.
·Properly support all projects with the necessary paperwork and daily updates required to ensure all customers receive top-quality service.
·Work diligently to better learn and understand the Low Voltage Electrical trade; including, but not limited to, industry best practices and standards, installation methods, troubleshooting best practices, communications systems and connectivity, system testing and commissioning, contractor coordination, job site planning, safety, quality planning, hazard assessment planning, and customer service.
5. Incentives/Continuing Education
·Upon receiving NICET II certification, a pay increase of $2/hr will be issued on the subsequent pay period.
·Upon reissuing BICSI Technician certification, a pay increase of $2/hr will be issued on the subsequent pay period.
·After demonstrating leadership of a work crew (2 men) for the period of 6 months and attending a management review of performance, an additional pay increase of $3/hr will be applied on the next pay period.
