A Data Processing Systems Analyst IV supervises and participates in the design and development of major, overall systems for electronic processing, involving the analysis and evaluation of data processing requirements and operating methods encompassing several concurrent application studies and a large number of complex and inter-related organizational entities and programs; prepares reports and develops plans for the implementation of recommended systems and procedures; and performs other related duties as required.
Current Vacancy Information:
There is one vacancy with the Department of Information Technology, Communications and Network Division, located in Honolulu. This position supervises and participates in the planning, design, development and implementation of the City’s Radio System Network, directs and coordinates all City Radio System Network activities; develops request for proposals and evaluates proposals; participates and manages major network development projects; supervises network analysts; conducts personnel evaluations and performs other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods and procedures, two of which shall have involved the conduct of feasibility studies and the analysis and design of systems for the electronic processing of data, and one of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity.
Substitution:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS from a regionally-accredited four year college or university may be substituted for six months of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods, and procedures.
A Master’s degree in Computer Science or MIS from a regionally-accredited four year college or university may be substituted for one year of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods, and procedures.
There is NO substitution for the two years of experience which shall have involved the conduct of feasibility studies and the analysis and design of systems for the electronic processing of data or the one year of supervisory experience.
