Description of responsibilities:

• Deliver against assigned sales goals, while prioritizing and delivering an excellent customer business experience to DOG’s clients and partners
• Develop and deliver compelling media presentations and proposals
• Committed to building an understanding of our existing clients and their objectives and developing new social and digital opportunities and ideas for them
• Act as a primary client contact; continually fostering client/agency relationships and consistently adding value to build ongoing trust with clients. You anticipate and address client needs before they realize them
• Provide strategic advice and assist Agencies in getting the most business growth from their clients’ advertising investment
• Leverage relationships/client knowledge to generate business
• You are effective and comfortable with networking
• Identify commercial opportunities from new client groups and verticals and are committed to working as a team to replicate activity in both the US and UK
• Implement effective account management of advertising partners to ensure long-lasting and commercially beneficial relationships

About you:

• You have a strong track record in hitting your sales quota targets – this is an active sales position and not a marketing role
• You are passionate about digital and social media. That means you know what the current trends are, and favorite recent digital brand campaigns, and you understand how to develop and utilize effective insights about media audiences and behaviors to benefit our clients
• You have a knowledge of how digital/social media fits in the communications mix, with a strong understanding of the advantages of each platform. As a result, you are able to advise different types of clients on the best digital strategy for their particular brand, industry, and objectives
• You enjoy developing creative ideas for new prospects and existing clients
• You are able to work closely and effectively with our editorial team, collaborating with them to create best-in-class digital marketing solutions for our clients
• You have an understanding of paid media, knowing how it works, what value it can bring, and how to present this effectively to our clients

Required experience and skills:

• Proven work experience as an account executive
• Solid experience with CRM software
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent career experience
• A black book of agency and brand contacts ideally in the movies, TV, Video games, and books sectors would be an advantage though not a necessity
• Minimum of 2+ years of media sales experience
• Experience in making clients feel heard and understood and helping them achieve their goals by closing sales and demonstrating expertise, effective probing, and information gathering to establish deep and meaningful business relationships
• Experience working with brands directly or agencies, and influencing executive stakeholders
• Ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context, and ability to achieve goals to drive growth
• Commitment to maintaining a strong working knowledge of the latest social and online technology and trends
• Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Natural alignment with the company’s culture and core values
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
