Full Charge bookkeeper
Description:
Under the supervision of the General Manager, performs all bookkeeping tasks including processes accounts payable, including payroll liabilities. Provides support in a varied but fast paced, multi-task environment.
Typical Tasks:
• Processing bi-weekly accounts payable invoices by reconciling, posting, printing checks and filing of all associated records.
• Process manual checks for auto payments and online or ACH/EFT payments
• Reconcile petty cash account and process check
• Prepare all monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting (DOR sales tax, 941, 940 FUTA, SUTA, L&I) as well as 1099’s.
• Process monthly 401k deposits payments to American Funds
• Maintain asset tracking and reporting of capital expenses – annual additions and depreciation in Jonas system
• Assists Architectural committee with application tracking and processing; creating agendas, meeting minutes; communicating with members on status and requirements
• Balance monthly deposits (pre-paid income) and actual income reporting for RoverPass RV park reservation system
• Prepare General Journal Entries
Back up duties:
• Posting of daily accounts receivable including: Weekly Dues, Golf, and Manual deposits which may include pool, exercise room, park showers, tennis and misc.
• Backs up Payroll Clerk to include processing payroll and associated tax deposits, processing accounts receivables and making bank deposits.
• Answer phones and front counter assistance
• Prepares appropriate reports as scheduled or requested
• Helps customers/members with forms as needed also copying and faxing
• Responds to Board requests, provides data, may prepare monthly Board packets
• Create miscellaneous signs, flyers and letters
• May perform other duties as directed by the General Manager
• Reconcile and close front desk till at end of shift
• Post daily tills from various operation areas
Employment Standards:
• Must have a high school diploma and AA in accounting or equivalent, with at least 2 years of accounting experience including AP, AR, payroll, GL and financial reports.
• Must be knowledgeable with Windows based computers, Microsoft Office and other general office equipment.
• Must be exceptionally customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written English
• Must be able to keep customer and client matters strictly confidential
• Must be detail oriented, well organized, and meticulous
• Knowledgeable with investment reports that have unrealized gains/losses
• Able to comprise correspondence letters and emails
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work flexible hours, as position may require incidental evening, weekend or holiday shifts
• Requires a valid driver’s license and background check
• Some construction knowledge is beneficial
• Must be or have the ability to become a Notary within 90 days of hire

Other notes:
The ideal candidate would be looking for a long-term position in a small community due to the complexity of the operation and custom software involved.
Someone from a smaller operation where they were involved in more facets of the operation
would be a better choice due to a broader background.
Also, some construction background could be beneficial when assisting members with architectural paperwork.
