Diabetes & Glandular Disease Clinic, P.A.Clinic Operations SupervisorThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified.SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Clinic Manager supervises and coordinates all activities of the clinic and of the certified medical assistants and support staff in conjunction with the diagnostic scheduling, prescription assistance, and those involved in direct patient care. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring the day to day activities of the clinic site and is responsible for the direct supervision, actions and needs of the clinic staff. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for assuring a patient centered home is provided to patients and they receive exemplary health care.DUTIES INCLUDE:
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: High school graduate or equivalentLicensed Vocational NurseAt least 3-5 years’ experience in a Medical Assistant and LVN supervisory positionExperience with Team ManagementExperience with creating policies and proceduresKnowledge and understanding of Policies and Procedures for government regulations to include prescriptions, managing lab requests, medical standardsUnderstanding of Credentialing for Physicians and NPsUnderstanding of Meaningful Use Stage I & IIICD 10 knowledgeDiabetes knowledge preferred but not requiredEMR experience in Athena preferred but not requiredWord, Excel, Power point ExperienceBilingual a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures Ability to work effectively with diverse populations Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments. Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to foster a cooperative work environment Employee development and performance management skills Knowledge of staff hiring procedures Knowledge of continuous quality improvement management principles and practices Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and proceduresWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.The Diabetes and Glandular Disease Clinic provides all training required by OSHA to ensure employee safety.HIPAA Privacy Training and SanctionsAll employees who have access to health information whose confidentiality is protected by the HIPAA Privacy Rule are required by the Rule to receive training so that they have an understanding and knowledge of the Privacy Rule that corresponds to their job responsibilities and of the group health plan’s policies and procedures that impact on their job duties. Training on the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule and the plan’s health information policies and procedures under the direction of the plan privacy officer is a prerequisite for this position.Employees who violate the requirements of the HIPAA Privacy Rule will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
